"You should kiss the ground you walk on if you were born in this country— take it from an old man who once had to wear the Star of David on his shirt. There’s a safety to living in such a diverse place. It’s much more difficult to brainwash a population that is composed of so many different nationalities and so many different viewpoints."

religious holidays always stimulate religious conversations.

while listening in on some conversations in the lobby after class, a guy says “I’m an atheist, so everyday’s a party. yolo right?”

and it’s sad.

but i laughed.

because really, you’ll yolo man.

it really does break my heart that he’ll only live once.

you say Judas is a brother of mine?
but sister in our darkness a light shines
and all I ever want to say for the rest of my life
is how that light is God,
and though I’ve been mistaken on this or that point,
that light is, nevertheless, God.
